Qualifications and Requirements
Qualifications:
Students above age 18 who obey Chinese laws and without fatal health problems can apply for SWUFE.
Bachelor Candidates: have graduated from a senior middle school (secondary school) or equivalent.
Master Candidates: have attained a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Doctor Candidates: have attained a Master’s Degree or equivalent.
Chinese Language Program Candidates: no special academic qualification required.
Chinese Proficiency Requirements (HSK)
Unless specially indicated, all Chinese_instructing programs require the candidates to pass HSK Exam (Chinese Proficiency Test) Level 6, before degree study. This is the regulation of the Ministry of Education of China.
* HSK Exam is an examination designed to test Chinese language proficiency for candidates. Candidates can apply/attend the exam in China or from abroad.
HSK Exam Result is a MUST for international students applying for our Chinese-instructing programs. Please check www.hsk.org.cn for details.
Student who has not taken HSK Exam or fails to pass HSK Exam Level 6 can join our Chinese Training Program before degree study (please see “Chapter 2.3 Chinese Training Program” for details). Learn from our experience, it takes 1-2 year for a beginner to pass HSK Level 6.
Materials Needed:
1. A SWUFE Application Form with all information accurately given.
2. Bachelor Candidates:
a)Graduation Certificate of a senior middle school or equivalent (photocopies). This MUST be notarized by Chinese Embassy/Consulate General in your home country.
b)Official academic transcript of latest education, containing all performances.
c)Study plan, illustrating the motives and schedule of study.
d)HSK Level 6 (or higher) certificate (photocopy).
Master or Doctor Candidates:
a)A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree certificate or equivalent (photocopies). This MUST be notarized by Chinese
Embassy/Consulate General in your home country.
b)Official academic transcript of latest education, containing all performances.
c)List of academic/research productions, given in details, if any.
d)Study plan, illustrating the motives and schedule of study.
